사실 리눅스 및 오픈소스 생태계는 굉장히 영어일극체제임. 다른 라틴문자 기반 언어판은 모르겠는데 CJK언어는 문자 입력기가 기본으로 깔려나와서 맥이나 윈도처럼 특별한 조치 없이 바로 입력할 수 있는 경우가 없음. 하모니카가 시도했던 거 같은데 안 쓴지 오래되어서 모르겠고. 문제는 리눅스 데스크탑 관점에선 이게 좀 부차적인 문제라는 것이지. 그냥 입력기 깔면 되고 입력기는 저장소에 있거든. 꼬우면 한국어판을 별도로 관리해서 만들어야겠지. 이러면 또 자원봉사냐 기업화냐의 문제가 생기고. 그러기엔 상품으로서의 한국어 리눅스가 쓸만한가?

This floating ring is the size of a galaxy. In fact, it is a galaxy -- or at least part of one: the photogenic Sombrero Galaxy, one of the largest galaxies in the nearby Virgo Cluster of Galaxies. The dark band of dust that obscures the mid-section of the Sombrero Galaxy in visible light actually glows brightly in infrared light.

Less certain is how this vibrant ecosystem will fare now that the iceberg has broken away. Many deep-sea dwellers are adapted to unchanging conditions found in their environment, so they are highly sensitive to even small environmental shifts. For the life-forms uncovered in Bellingshausen Sea, the dramatic loss of their former iceberg ceiling may rock their ecosystem.
Sasha Montelli says that the floating ice shelf that the iceberg broke away from has retreated inland by about 25 miles (40 km) over the past 50 years—just one example of accelerating ice loss on the continent. “The ice loss from the Antarctic Ice Sheet is a major contributor to sea level rise worldwide,” Montelli said in the recent press release. “Our work is critical for providing longer-term context of these recent changes, improving our ability to make projections of future change.”

Behold the caracal (Caracal caracal) and its stylish ear tassels. Some scientists think that this cat twitches its tufts to communicate with others (in addition to meowing, purring, hissing, and other feline vocalizations). It’s the fastest cat of its size, running up to 50 mph (80.5 km/h), and can jump as high as 10 ft (3 m)! In fact, this hunter has a reputation for jumping up to swat birds out of the air for a meal.
