Today I thought, what if I take the nix flake I use to manage my dotfiles and machine setup, and just make an ISO out of it, and then flash it onto a USB stick. I can now basically plug in my "full setup" in any computer I happen to find anywhere.

My SSH, AGE and GPG keys are on my Yubikey. I literally bring up a pinentry dialogue as soon as desktop-session starts (Hyprland), which uses my Yubikey to decrypt secrets, and connect to my Tailnet using an Auth Key.

The whole nonisolated / @.concurrent changes in Swift 6.2 still don’t really sit right with me.
It feels MORE confusing to me that an async call will be on the same actor as its caller… That the behaviour has totally flipped, determined by a compiler flag… it’s just confusing.

Scientists on the MicroBooNE experiment further ruled out the possibility of one sterile neutrino as an explanation for results from previous experiments. In the latest MicroBooNE result, the collaboration used one detector and two beams to study neutrino behavior, ruling out the single sterile neutrino model with 95% certainty.

Been thinking a lot about @algernonI'm in my database, and I don't like it's recent post on FLOSS and LLM training. The frustration with AI companies is spot on, but I wonder if there's a different strategic path. Instead of withdrawal, what if this is our GPL moment for AI—a chance to evolve copyleft to cover training? Tried to work through the idea here: Histomat of F/OSS: We should reclaim LLMs, not reject them.

撤收(철수)가 아니라 再專有(재전유)! GPL이 그랬던 것처럼요.

You know, it's not a great look for a particular security-focused non-Google Android operating system that only works on Google Pixel phones to be constantly badmouthing other non-Google Androids.

The aim should be getting as many people off big tech and on to more open alternatives, not discouraging them.

Just FYI, Arabic doesn't have capitalization, so texting is dry asf unless you use emoticons/emojis.
I've seen people use that as proof enough that a Palestinian account is fake because they excessively use them, when that's even more proof because it's such an Arab e-culture thing
