Some asteroids aren't rocks. They are rubble heaps. This makes sense when you think about it. These asteroids may have never been a part of a large terrestrial like body with gravity like earth. They are just loosely held together by their own modest mass.

For some reason I find this revelation creepy. I suppose I think about trying to land on the surface and just sinking ...

GDB is great for stepping through machine code to figure out what is going on. It uses debug information under the hood to present you with a tidy backtrace and also determine how much machine code to print when you type disassemble.

10 years or so ago, this happened:

Me: I'm going to disable telnet on all the servers and use ssh everywhere.

Users: Can't do that, our client software doesn't support it.

Me: Oh, what software are you using?

Users: Something called putty.

Me: ...

A quick walk round the office to reset everyone's putty back to defaults and telnet was very quickly disabled.

Remember "don't print this email" in signatures that was a bit cringe? It doesn't feel that cringe anymore in retrospect. I'm doing an experiment now with this new email signature :D Anyone doing something similar? Could it catch on?
