Every time I find a screamingly -wrong- pattern in an existing codebase these days, I'm also hit with the realization that LLMs have absolutely been trained on this codebase and will replicate this pattern for other people who have similar use-cases.

Iโve just measured the power consumption of my MacBook Pro M1 (M1 Pro, which Iโve been using for years).
When connected to an external monitor and closed, it averages between 5 and 7 watts. When everything is idle, itโs around 4. When I turn the screen off, it drops to 2-3 W.

Hey Washington, there's a profoundly bad law making its way through the state level.
This law, will require ALL 3d printers to send copies of the files you print directly to the government to be check against a database of "banned shapes".
Literally turning your 3d printer into spyware. And if you don't voluntarily turn your printer into a spy, you will be a class C Felon.
This law affects ALL CNC machines, not just 3dps.
This is my face when Canonical/Ubuntu apparently can't keep their YAML indentation levels consistent for /etc/netplan/*.yaml between Ubuntu (installer) versions, possibly even within the same LTS release. You had one job, YAML, and you're falling down on it.
(Some versions seem to use four-space indents, some two-space indents, YAML shrugs its shoulders and doesn't care.)

Last I checked most of the ARM-M target features were _themselves_ unstable (like "do I have a floating point unit" or "am I thumb2") but I should check, this could simplify the syscall sequences in Hubris.

@mcc I follow the primary developer on here and I've been watching him go from "oh ffs I spent an hour on this report and it was bullshit" to "oh God they're all bullshit" to "I have been invited to give a keynote about the scourge of AI-generated bullshit" to "we are shutting down the bug bounty due to the overwhelming amount of bullshit."

Thereโs a lot of circumstantial evidence that ICE is gearing up to directly target schools here. Without getting into details: they are casing schools and posing as community members.
While ICE has already come onto school grounds on a handful of occasions, include the terrible incident at Roosevelt High School, they so far have stopped short of directly targeting schools and schoolchildren.
We expect that to change. Everyone is on high alert.
I beg you, wherever you are, to show some kind of solidarity with Minneapolis-St. Paul this Friday:
(1) SHUT DOWN NORMAL: Whatever your normal Friday is, find a way to pause it, interrupt it, halt itโฆeven if only a little. Normal life cannot continue unabated while this is happening. It is intolerable, and we must not tolerate it.
