주말에 상나라 정벌을 읽었다. 역사 대중서는, 학계의 연구결과를 읽기 쉽게 전달하거나, 그 시대상을 상상력으로 그려내거나 하는데 이 책은 연구 결과는 너무 세밀하게 늘어 놓고, 시대상과 사람들에 대해선 너무 많고 거칠게 상상으로 채워 넣었다. 중국 고대사의 시오노 나나미라고 하기엔 연구를 보는 전문가인 점은 낫지만 그만큼 인물들을 매력적으로 그려내지는 못했다. 내 평가는, 역사학 박사가 쓴 500 페이지에 달하는 역사 덕질 동인지.
물론 재미있었고, 중국 고대사의 고고학적 발견들에 대한 자세한 정리는 도움이 되었지만, 그 많은 자료가 결국 서주 건국과 공자 덕질용 밑밥에 불과했다니, 작가 양반...;

Life is Strange: Before the Storm has a native Linux version, but it won't start on modern distros like Fedora 43. The game links against internal glibc symbols that were removed in glibc 2.34.
The fix: a tiny shim library (~10 lines of C) that wraps the missing functions and injects them via LD_PRELOAD. Played through tentire game this way without issues.

原発が痛む原因は2つあって、一つは照射脆化。もう一つは日本は海沿いとイコールなので潮風による腐食(塩害)。

いやまあ、たぶんその頃中学生か高校生だった私も、生意気でスカしてたなあ、と、そういうノスタルジーはありました。キョージュは死んでしまったけど、当時の生意気ティーンも、今や初老です。
フェアライトの使い方とか、図らずも昔の技術の記録映画になってしまってるのが面白いけど、ね、誰が見るんだコレ。。。
