“There are no excuses left for Israel, not only to allow the opening of Rafah crossing in both directions, but also there are no excuses for Israel’s continual bombardment of Gaza,” Barghouti, secretary-general of the Palestinian National Initiative, told Al Jazeera.

“The ceasefire is respected only unilaterally from the Palestinian side, and Israel has violated the ceasefire agreement already 1,300 times, taking the lives of more than 480 Palestinians,” Barghouti said.

Man. I moved into a new apartment this month, and my wifi is pretty unreliable. I just did a scan of the channel usage in this building and... oh my god it does Not Look Good. My (expensive but not insanely expensive) router is going to be fighting with 5-10 other devices no matter what band I use.

I could switch over to 6Ghz but I would need to upgrade my router and buy adapters for my laptop and my TV...

I think I'm just going to figure out how to run ethernet in this apt to those devices...

We knew this was coming, but now the clock is running. From Privacy International:

"Yesterday the Trump Administration announced a proposed change in policy for travellers to the U.S. It applies to the powers of data collection by the Customs and Border Police (CBP)."

"If the proposed changes are adopted after the 60-day consultation, then millions of travellers to the U.S. will be forced to use a U.S. government mobile phone app, submit their social media from the last five years and email addresses used in the last ten years, including of family members. They’re also proposing the collection of DNA."

PI linked to and summarized a Federal Register entry describing the proposed requirements:

-All visitors must submit ‘their social media from the last 5 years’

-ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) applications will include ‘high value data fields’, ‘when feasible’
‘telephone numbers used in the last five years’
-‘email addresses used in the last ten years’
-‘family number telephone numbers (sic) used in the last five years’
-biometrics – face, fingerprint, DNA, and iris
-business telephone numbers used in the last five years
-business email addresses used in the last ten years.

I can understand how a person with the analytic range of a teaspoon could experience these lows and highs of empowerment and confuse this state for proof that they have tapped into a magical innate technical ability that only they have

Rather than what it is -- accessing scaffolded social cognition and other people's work working FOR you
