When everything is frozen, a heated bird bath becomes a vital and a meeting spot. I like to keep one on the ground where I have the pond in the summer, and critters and birds will both use it (some even if they never visit a feeder). Yesterday, a female Redwinged Blackbird came, and today, there were two American Tree Sparrows. In between the Starlings keep me busy. #birds

디지털 토이 카메라(또는 비슷한 급)로 레트로 감성을 가질 수 있을까? 라는 것을 여러번 시도한 적은 있지만, 나온 결론은 저가 센서를 사용하는 경우에는 안되고, 그래도 어느정도 급이 있는 센서를 사용해야 그나마 비슷한듯... 
「LLMは賢くないんだよ、ただ次の単語を予測してるだけ」という意見をみかけるようになった。ChatGPT公開当初の驚きから徐々に幻滅期に入っているのかもしれない。たしかに、LLMの仕組みとしては次に続く単語の確率を計算しているだけかもしれない。しかし、人間が一生に触れるより遥かに膨大な情報量を学習させて、さらに自然言語を媒介にして即座に膨大な情報とやりとりできるようになったことが革命的だったように思う。自然言語のインターフェイスと情報量という2つがあれば、人間は「知性」を感じてしまう。というか、もともと知性ってそんなものなのかも。

- using all kinds of ableist slurs and insinuations of mental health issues
- insinuating that people who think differently from you have ‘low IQ’ or developmental disabilities

This week I talked to two different friends who are still on Facebook, and independent of each other they both said it was because of how the Facebook groups gave them easy access to information about their hobby, e.g. knitting.
