We are working on socialfolio.me and would like to add a widget variant for the Pixelfed widget where we want to display the newest few posts of the user. For that we somehow need to get user ID from instance domain and username. On Mastodon the lookup endpoint is available without authentication, but on Pixelfed this endpoint can only be reached with an auth token. Is there a reason for that or would it theoretically be possible to make this route public?

Accessible on mastodon:
mastodon.social/api/v1/account

Not accessible on Pixelfed:
pixelfed.social/api/v1/account

Or is there another way of getting the user ID from instance and username?

after seeing the just wonderful treatment women are getting on the by mentioning toxic masculinity just once (hint: it's not grand in the slightest and really demonstrated toxic masculinity), i don't feel comfortable allowing my daughter on here once she reaches an appropriate age in a few years. the same goes with the fact she's multi-ethnic. i don't think the Fediverse is ready for women or people of color really. do better and for shame!

　Adobeは2月2日(米現地時間)、2Dアニメーション制作ソフト「Adobe Animate」(以下Animate)の販売を終了すると発表し、購入済みユーザーのサポートも順次終了すると予告した。しかし2日後の2月4日、同社は公式サイトのアナウンスを更新。販売とサポートの終了を撤回し、Adobe Animateをメンテナンスモードへ移行すると発表した。
