"러다이트 운동은 21세기 들어 일부에서 신러다이트 운동으로 이어지고 있다. 이들은 맹목적 반기술주의와는 선을 긋지만 무분별한 기술 도입에 반대한다. 러다이트 연구자인 브라이언 머천트는 일자리를 앗아가는 것은 로봇이 아니라 고용주인데도 왜 고용 불안을 인간과 로봇의 문제로 다룰 뿐 노동자와 고용주 간의 문제로 다루지 않느냐고 반문한다."

A measly 25% decrease after an increase of…what, 10x? 20x? feels like 100x?

With no timeline? no transparency, no accountability?

And they’ll wear body cameras? eventually? they say? with footage that…who can view, again? Oh, we don’t know??

This all means nothing — •nothing• — except that they’re afraid: afraid of losing funding, afraid of consequences.

•• It’s working. Punch harder. ••

I was planning on visiting Ferrara once again - maybe an early spring, maybe a late March or so. But...

1. I need to lose some weight - Ferrara is a place where kilos are gained very, very easily - colazione in Caffe Italiano, pre-lunch desert at Pasticceria Carli, pizza in Mordi e Fuggi, an ice cream, then a dinner and a few beers at the XI Comandamento. So I need to be prepared.

2. it needs to be a home match of S.P.A.L.... ehm, I mean, Ars et Labor Ferrara Calcio.. which is usually played on Sunday so it's not possible for me to just use my days off during the "short week"

3. And I also need to be there during the weekday because I want to visit the coffee roasters Krifi Caffe..

So as you can see, it's not as easy as it seems.. not as easy..

To delete a range of ZFS snapshots, use the % (percent) character after the
full path to the first snapshot that should be included. For example, to
simulate deleting snapshots a through (including) d, use this command:

# zfs destroy -rvn mypool/tmp@a%d

Once you are sure that this is what you want, remove the -n option:

# zfs destroy -rv mypool/tmp@a%d

Yesterday I've been social for a couple of hours and coupled with the unexpected -6 Celsius icy trek I had to take due to unforced public transport mishap, today I'm exhausted and I can barely focus on anything requiring any mental work. :(

Still I got to meet a bunch of cool people and bored them with talk about my passion project, so all's good. :)

Thank you @liaizonwakest ⁂ FOSDEM for organizing the meetup! <3

Since DuckDuckGo has decided to regionalize all my search results even when no region is selected (why?!? 😩),

Making my work impossible (I don't spend my day writing about Canada DuckDuckGo! 🙄),

I have started to use @MojeekMojeek Search Engine and I must say that it is a real joy. I find what I'm looking for much quicker, no patronizing regionalization based on IP, and no AI pollution. It feels like I found back the 2010s web and I'm here for it.

Thank you Mojeek 💚

I really hate to say it, but at least on a test project, this Xcode 26.3 coding agent stuff is pretty good. I can see why some are going gaga over it.

My main concern (other than copyright, which for some reason companies seem to ignore) is that it makes it to easy to just trust the generated code. You start reading things line by line and after a few minutes its hard not to skim over the suggested bits that get added.

Desperate need for medical evacuations in Gaza as Rafah crossing reopens

Gazan Dima Shoukani is hoping to be one of them.

The 16-year-old said she was waiting for treatment with three pieces of shrapnel in her head and burns on her leg after she was injured in the war.

"All I wanted is to be treated, so I can return to my normal life.

"I have been in this condition for five months and it keeps getting worse.

"I want the shrapnel removed to recover my vision and to regain the use of my legs"
