If you're curious, from 2026-01-02 to 2026-02-03, i apparently did: 10,638 Messages +708,462/-172,910 Lines 6416 Files 19 Days 559.9 Msgs/Day what's really wild is that i feel like i could do way more than this, actually.

just found out claude code has `/insights` aka claude code wrapped it produces an html page with details about your usage and suggestions for using the tool more effectively extremely interesting

anyway sorry still at the 'barely coherent' stage here, haha

by the same token (bad pun), using English to generate code is also a form of leverage. a little prompt can make a lot of code. the core difference between a lever and an llm is that the lever doesn't have semantic drift. that's the challenge of effective tool usage here

You could keep running Ingress NGINX on #Kubernetes without support; it would be really stupid, but you could!

I do enjoy a desktop environment that allows you to _easily_ create an old skool right-click menu on your desktop.

There's some quirks to configuring the ordering, not sure if I'll need to hand edit the menu once I get it most of the way there.

For a mutli-head setup this avoids having to have an Application Launcher on every screen, but it does require access to unobscured desktop in order to work.

And my nerdy part likes the '80s-'90s UNIX desktop vibes it creates. Ha.

Anyway the reason I roll my eyes at most of the discussion about "AI", "AGI", "the singularity", "intelligence self-improvement feedback loop" is that like, it happened, it's already happened, it's been happening, it's us. We're it.

Kurzweil talked about lusting for a machine that can make him smarter. I have that, it's a piece of paper. I can write math on a piece of paper and solve problems I can't solve in my head. I can upload all the information in the world directly into my brain (books).
