『서울의 골목길에서는 산이 보인다』는 도서전에서 구입한 책 중 한 권으로, 서울의 골목길을 답사하고 사진으로 찍은 것을 정리한 책입니다. 두께와 크기가 꽤 큰 편이라서 들고 다니며 읽는 데 고생했지만, 그럴 가치는 있는 책이었습니다.
일제시대와 해방 이후 급속한 경제변화와 함께 형성된 서울 여러 곳의 오래 된 골목을 돌아나디며 사진과 감상을 정리한 이 책은, 2024년 출간되기는 했지만 21세기 초부터 찍힌 사진들이 가득 담겨 있습니다. 지금은 많은 곳이 '재개발'되어 볼 수 없는 풍경인 것 같지요. 이런 풍경들을 보는 건 좋아하지만, 어떻게 말하자면 다른 사람의 삶을 낭만화하는 일이라 조금 꺼림칙한 부분도 있습니다.
저는 꽤 오랜 세월을 서울에서 살았지만 강동구 쪽에서 살았고, 주로 강남의 동쪽에서 많은 시간을 보냈죠. 그래서 그런가 서울에서 산이 보인다는 감각이 그닥 와닿지 않았습니다. 한강을 건널 때 보이는 아차산이나, 주말에 가족과 함께 오르던 검단산 정도가 제 주변의 산이었지요. 최근 몇 년은 은평구를 다니며 거의 어디서나 보이는 북한산의 모습이 인상적으로 다가옵니다. 이 거대한 산이 시야를 떠나지 않는 사람들의 서울과 이 산이 안 보이는 사람의 서울은 꽤 다른 서울이겠지요.
제가 어릴 적에 살던 골목길 풍경을 떠올려 봅니다. 벽돌집과 슈퍼, 오르막길과 재래시장, 농축협 공판장과 놀이터…. 지도를 보니 많이 바뀐 부분도 있고 그렇지 않은 부분도 있는데, 이 책처럼 사진으로 남겨보는 것도 좋을 것 같습니다.

在我看來，一國兩制的設計原意，除了有統戰台灣的因素，其實也有「代替中國做不方便做的事情」這種實際層面考慮
比如現在中日關係緊張(雖然還是中國搞的)，民間不方便交流，中國人可以在香港參與日本交流活動，甚至中國覺得玩夠了，又不想下台階太明顯，可以通過香港來和日本打好關係；同樣，中台想交流又不想通過第三國的話，香港就可以提供平台。所以香港可以一邊喊「毛澤東萬歲」，一邊說「國立臺灣大學」都不會有人找麻煩
但現在在上位者要緊跟中國立場，有學校/為了獻媚/怕事取消日本遊學，要擔心日本的活動會不會被取消，就算鄧小平知道應該也會覺得蠢
