LibreNMS and MikroTik are a great combination.
A client reached out because they had no clear idea how their queues were configured or whether they were actually needed. After all, "everything seems to be running fine.". The usual mantra: "if eveything's working, what am I paying you for?"
I pulled up LibreNMS, grabbed a couple of screenshots, and suddenly everything made sense.
The response? "WOW."

I find it interesting how `uv` managed to corrupt collective memories. I am now reading that `uv` together with `poetry` was responsible for introducing proper locks in Python. It's as if `pipenv` and `pip-tools` and `pdm` never existed and somehow `uv` released in 2024 is jointly responsible for introduction of lockfiles along with `poetry` released *checks notes* 6 years prior?!

The [markdownlang] post is a multi-layered satirical self reflection about labour disposability:
"I love this idea of programming as description, but I hate how something like this will be treated by the market should it be widely released."
This is the core thesis statement. This is the big kahuna in terms of messaging. The horror is that "good enough" is becoming good enough.
As an added note, at the end of the post I mention that it was authored in the voice of one of my blog personae, specifically the one that does heavily unmarked shitposting but genuinely means well and wants people to improve. This means that my authorial voice is delegated to a character, intended to mirror the themes of abstraction, replacement, and disposability.
