그리고 인디씬에서 하고 있는 건 일종의 아트하우스 필름에 가깝고 나름대로의 트렌드도 있음. 그건 얼리억세스로 개발하기 쉬운 장르여서 그런 경우도 있고(확장이 편한 메트로이드베니아, 로그라이크 류), AAA에서 잊혀진 장르나 미학을 재이용 재발굴하는 경우도 있고 그러함. 물론 시점트릭을 이용한 퍼즐게임 FEZ라던가 소코반과 논리 퍼즐을 적용한 Baba is you, 일종의 카드게임인 벅샷룰렛처럼 포뮬러를 살짝만 건드린 게 아니라 여태까지 보지 못했던 조작계와 게임시스템을 제공하는 경우도 있지만 극히 드문 편임.
