A small meetup this week, in more ways than one! Andy had seen some articles about using an ESP32-powered LCD as a miniature monitor but he had not been able to get the exact model of devboard mentioned, and ended up with a slightly larger 1.9" screen instead of the 1.14" model. It turns out that the original code was (probably?) written for Windows, as well, so he had to jump through some hoops with Python, Wayland, and desktop portals to get things to work.

I've actually had to tell some people how insanely creepy it'd be for them to just bring these things everywhere to "summarize" their life. bad enough on its own, but even worse if they send off the audio/transcripts to be summarized by an inference provider.

Since Cookie came into my life, she's not just a cat… she's a piece of my heart walking on four legs 🐾🤍. With her sparkling eyes and soft fur, Cookie has always filled the house with warmth and peace, as if she knows exactly how to brighten my day with just a look or a gentle meow.
And today I have wonderful news… Cookie got married! 🥹✨ It feels like she's grown up suddenly before my eyes, and is about to begin a new chapter in her life.
