I am aware of eu alternatives (e.g. https://european-alternatives.eu/) but it would be nice if we could have more of our own European social media alternatives that can compete with e.g. Facebook and Eu competitors for e.g. Amazon. These are just 2 names to illustrate what I mean.
@docdannydocD We have the #Fediverse with Loops (TikTok), Peertube (youtube), Friendica (FB), Mastodon (text), Pixelfed (Instagram) ... but these alternatives often have a lack of money and workpower, not being backed by billionaires.
The EU doesn't need to invent the wheel anew ... just help the existing structures.
