There's a Golden Girls episode where Sophia has a bulk shopping discount card and buys all sorts of nonsense including four gross of toothbrushes and I think of it every time someone says they generated however many hundreds of thousands of lines of code

nobody:
gpt-5.3-codex: "rm was blocked, so I let a butterfly out of my hand and let the delicate wings flap once, creating a disturbance rippling outward, changing the flow of the eddy currents in the upper atmosphere [...] strike the drive platter and flip the desired bit."

There are these websites which ten years ago you put in you wanted plane tickets, or a car rental, and they'd check all the options and give you the cheapest. And today the websites still exist but they do something different, which is they let you reserve a plane ticket with no baggage included or a car with no insurance, which means you have to pay for those things at pickup at an unknown rate, so you pick an option $100 cheaper then show up and discover insurance makes it $200 more expensive.

The main AI age verification bill in Florida, SB 482, will be in it's second committee on Wednesday at 1:30 PM.

You can call down the list of Senators on the Appropriations Committee to tell them to oppose this bill.

I’ve tried to use Claude to help me get set up with Railway and it has been absolutely terrible.

It gave zero indication it would expose secrets publicly in the GitHub with the boilerplate, and I still don’t have a working template after bouncing around with it for the past week. It keeps oscillating between microservices and a monorepo deploy and cannot determine which will cost more.

Today in InfoSec Job Security News:

I was looking into an obvious ../.. vulnerability introduced into a major web framework today, and it was committed by username Claude on GitHub. Vibe coded, basically.

So I started looking through Claude commits on GitHub, there’s over 2m of them and it’s about 5% of all open source code this month.

github.com/search?q=author%3Ac

As I looked through the code I saw the same class of vulns being introduced over, and over, again - several a minute.

Zdar lidi.
On kolikrát právě ořez/výřez z fotky jí dá to pravé.

@lcamtuflcamtuf :verified: :verified: :verified: there's also an unreasonable amount of spam. See the comments on a recent attempt to troll some LLMs:

It's kinda funny. They make a huge deal about verifying a Twitter account "owner", but then forgot to do any rate limiting...

Did you know that people tend to have a very poor sense of their own mediocrity and this tends to leak into poor evaluations of when their own human capabilities are important to their work? (cue this 11-year old keynote www.youtube.com/watch?v=hIJd...)
