I want you to spread the word that Tim O'Reilly of O'Reilly Media is forcing his editors to "use" Gen AI as much as possible. The book I wrote for them, Hacker Culture: A to Z, is probably the last non-tech manual they ever published that isn't tainted by Gen AI.

SpaceX filed an application with the US Federal Communications Commission for a megaconstellation of up to one million to power data centres in .

The proposal envisions satellites operating between 500 and 2,000 kilometres in low Earth . Some of the orbits are designed for near-constant exposure to sunlight.

The approval process for these satellites focuses almost entirely on the limited technical info companies have to submit to regulators.

Cultural, spiritual, and most impacts aren’t taken into account – but they should be.

At this scale of growth, the night will change permanently and globally for generations to come.

In 2021, astronomers estimated that in less than a decade, 1 in every 15 points of light in the night sky would be a moving satellite. That estimate only included the 65 000 satellites proposed at the time.

Once deployed at a scale of millions, the impacts on the night sky may not be easily reversed.

Just so disabled people in the UK know, if Reform UK get in, they would repeal the Equality Act, describing it as divisive and a political fashion statement. If you aren't interested in politics, it's worth bearing in mind that politics is interested in you - the immigrant carers that help you, your benefits, your access to work, your right to live free from discrimination, companies' obligations for accessibility, Uber's obligation to take guide dogs.

마소의 윈도가 작살나고 있다는 읍내의 글인데 Win32와 C++ 하시던분들을 해고를 너무 많이 해서 ㅋㅋㅋ 이게 보니까 언어모델은 로우레벨 시스템 지식은 아직은 힘들어한다고 들음 여러 이유가 있겠지만 데이터가 상대적으로 적어서 그런것 같기도하고; 이쪽은 괴이한 지식이 많음; 경영진들이 이런건 근데 잘 모르는듯 전문가 수는 AI가 도입되거나 말거나 꾸준히 일정 비율 이상 유지하는것이 맞지 않나 생각해봄; 소프트웨어 산업은 특히 더 그렇다 x.com/forloopcodes...

An entire residential district has been built in Pyongyang for them. A museum dedicated to this war and those who were killed is also being constructed there.

According to South Korean intelligence, North Korea has lost about 6,000 soldiers killed and wounded in the war against Ukraine.
