Just because 10 people on the Fediverse have certain norms, fashions, traditions, preferences, and politics does NOT make these the culture of the Fediverse.

Not even if it were 100 people.

Not even if it were 1,000 people.

Consider what 1,000 people on the Fediverse represent — they are about 0.005% to 0.006% of the Fediverse!

No matter how loud this microscopic group of people scream, they still do not represent the (entire) Fediverse.

This post from the founder of is about more than replacing Xorg. Eric Turgeon is also writing about what the project needs to do to survive, and the problems with fatigue, as well as the lack of development from MATE and his thoughts/reluctance about needing to code in Objective C for the Gershwin DE, which could be the future environment for the project.

tl;dr: More people are needed to keep the project alive

可以光明正大拍照很爽 :sacabambaspis_coerce:
但錄影撇除版權疑慮不談,覺得整場拿著手機拍真是一點樂趣都沒有…

所以現在是「如果你覺得這樣真的好就做吧」的意思? :blobcatpopcorn:

Oh, and this is a lovely snippet of the hate mail I'm getting from some people right now:

And yes, they're send it and then immediately deleting it, but I still get the notification for it.

If you think this is an okay way to engage with anyone, you should probably get some help.

(Doing something I've been adept at for years and love doing right)

Unsolicited "advice" from the sideline: "Why are you not using AI"

But *I'm* the smartass, sure mate 🙄

(This is not about the work situation, this happened a lot last year in private contexts. It's infuriating.)

Found released new Production Branch of their 580.126.18.

For : nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/detai
For Linux: nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/detai

Filed PR for FreeBSD as Bug 293260 and opened corresponding review D55350 for this.
bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show
reviews.freebsd.org/D55350

Reading Release Highlights, it seems to be Linux specific build fix and maybe FreeBSD version is just bumped to keep sync with Linux version.
