『The Blind Prophet』은 악마들이 인간을 착취하는 도시에 파견된 사도가 되어 도시에 숨어있는 악마를 사냥하는 임무를 수행하는 포인트 앤드 클릭 어드벤처 게임입니다. 스팀 라이브러리를 뒤지다가 한 번도 플레이해보지 않은 게임 중에서 스타일이 괜찮아보이던 것을 골라 설치하고 플레이해보게 되었습니다.
플레이어가 도시 곳곳을 탐험하는 포인트 앤드 클릭 어드벤처 게임인데, 장면 내에서 캐릭터가 걷는 애니메이션이 재생되지 않습니다. 저렴하게 만든 거라고 할 수도 있겠지만, 게임플레이 흐름도 나쁘지 않았습니다. 『Agatha Christie - The ABC Murders』에서 이동과 오브젝트 선택이 겹쳐서 불쾌한 경험이 있었던 걸 생각해보면, 이것도 택해볼만한 방식 아닐까 싶네요.
이야기 흐름 등에서는 코믹스처럼 연출된 장면을 자주, 그리고 꽤 그럴듯하게 사용합니다. 게임 전반의 음울한 분위기를 포함해서, 어두운 그래픽 노블을 연상하게 되지요. 가끔은 "이 쯤에서 보스전으로 넘어가겠군" 싶은 흐름에서도, 액션이 많을 것 같은 이야기에 비해 액션성을 꽤 배제한 게임플레이의 영향인지 그래픽 노블을 통한 묘사가 되는 부분이 많았습니다. 액션성 있는 보스전의 게임플레이가 없진 않지만, 그 퀄리티를 봐서는 그런 플레이를 그렇게 많이 넣지 않는 게 이 게임에 더 도움이 된 것 같습니다.
6시간 정도의 플레이로 엔딩을 볼 수 있는 게임이고, 아트 스타일이 꽤 마음에 듭니다. 이야기도 그럭저럭 마음에 들고요. 일부 퍼즐의 힌트를 잘 모르겠다거나 하는 걸리적거림과 답을 납득/이해하기 전에 트라이얼 앤드 에러로 풀어버린다거나, 실시간성 있는 퍼즐/액션의 퀄리티가 그렇게 좋지 않은 점은 조금 아쉬웠습니다.

別デバイスで読んでも既読位置とかメタデータとかがちゃんと再現されるPDF本読書アプリが欲しいなあないなあ、と思ってたんだけど、そうか作ればいいのか（AIが)、ってなって作ってもらっている。iPadとiPhoneとMacで動く。メタデータはPDFの横にjsonを置くだけのシンプルな作り。
2日くらいで読み進めるだけの機能の基本はできた。マーカ追加もできる。あとはメタデータ編集、目次、フォルダ、検索、メモ追加、マーカー削除、サムネイル表示、くらいまでできると良いんじゃろかね。
PDFからメタデータ自動抽出も入れてみた。しかし市販のPDF本、PDFに入ってる署名とか著者名のメタデータがデタラメのやつあるのな。main.pdfってタイトルで著者名が知らん人、ってのがあったw

I saw that NYT bit about LLMs being great at extracting and converting data and building an app, and I can't help thinking: "For you, the day an entire data-browsing app was built quickly before your eyes was the greatest software experience of your life. But for me, it was a Tuesday. In 2008."

연휴는 잘 보내셨나요. 오늘은 기다렸던 운명의 그 날입니다. 2024년 12월 3일, 그 차가웠던 겨울이 법정에서 처음으로 법적 판단을 받는 날이기 때문입니다.
긴 시간 동안 궤변과 억지와 법 절차 악용, 그리고 재판부의 알 수 없는 피고를 향한 온정에 블루스카이 가족 여러분께서 많이 마음 상하셨을줄로 압니다. 하지만 차근 차근 쌓아올려진 다른 법적 판단이 여기까지 올라온 이상, 더 이상 빠져나갈 요소는 별로 없을 것으로 보입니다.
부디 오늘 모두가 만족할 수 있는 민주주의의 회복이 오길 바랍니다.

We need an instance for public institutions, government actors, non-profit companies even public figures of interest.
I can setup the host, and I am sure we can charge a tiny amount per user to fund the hosting, but I am afraid of the moderation overhead, I would need help with that.
