Speaking of blogs, I’ve been using Kagi for search full time since January, and I’m super happy with the results. I feel like I’m getting a lot more real writing by real people. And, unsurprisingly, those real people are also often on Mastodon:-)
When I see people going "the archive is slow, wah" they just don't realize there's this tsunami of bad actors, either spammers, DDOSers testing their equipment, and fraudsters that want to just grind the whole thing into the ground to make a potential quick buck. I'm flghting them and others are too. But the result is I'll spend a full day and have little to show for it.
There's a realistic situation where this problem is somewhat un-winnable, but in the face of it, winning still needs to be attempted. We have to try.
But when people complain, I always feel they forget the miracle that the place is even up.

我现在对 LLM AI 的态度可能就像是好好了解过素食主义之后的我还是做不到不吃肉一样……
作为一个贯彻一些原则到有点极端的人，遇到这种问题的时候，我很支持一种说法……就是说比如动物制品早已进入我们生活的方方面面，成为了难以完全避免的一种东西。所以我们能做到一点算一点，在力所能及的范围内尽量少用/吃已经是一件很值得的事情了。
最近看了好多开源圈对 AI 的讨论，还是相当多人在抵制的。我现在基本上还是只靠 AI 作为辅助我思考的工具，代码我还是手动写。工作上可能会用得更多一些。
其实光是说浪费能源的问题的话我还是可以用“它多费的电能是用来提升我的效率降低我的时间成本”来自我安慰的……但别的问题还是难以调解。所以至少创作性的东西还是不要用 AI 代替自己了吧。
哎怎么说呢，资本主义本身也可以被解释成有点邪恶的东西（比如说滋生了帝国/殖民主义），那我给资本家打工不也是有些违反自己的原则了吗？好吧纽约不就是全世界资本主义的中心一样的地方嘛（噢然而我们选出了一个社会主义（其实是社会民主主义）的市长……）
哎等我们家没那么入不敷出了（下周可能就能做到了！）我要恢复一些捐款习惯，至少能让心里好受一点……？
前段时间试着完全用 Claude Code 帮我做一个工作上的东西。看上去是很聪明地解决了，但到 code review 的时候还是发现了不少问题。要是我自己手写可能会边写边注意到吧，但是 AI 的动作太快了，我觉得越来越懒惰的人们会不一定看得进去 AI 写的东西。如果别人把纯 AI 写的东西拿给我看，我也会有点看不动。
都是想到哪写到哪的，写得好乱但不管了，至少不是 AI 生成的。

Diese Denkschule heißt Neoklassik. Obwohl auf allen Ebenen widerlegt, gibt es ein politisches Interesse (=Machterhalt), dass diese Propaganda unterrichtet wird.

it doesn't seem to have the same popularity as i.e. #ActivityPub / the #Fediverse, even though the concept of solid pods seems to synergize quite well with the idea of a decentralized web, as far as i can tell
