plan: as a joke, port Apple II "Peasant's Quest" to DOS for the CGA Jam, how hard could it be...

I'm re-learning a lot of Turbo Pascal at least. I actually would have had a playable Proof-of-Concept by now if work wasn't over-the-top busy this semester.

DOS/CGA port of the Homestar Runner "Peasant's Quest" game, showing the entry level with the knight in the cyan/magenta palette, but with a glitched text dialog box

I will bike in a lot of conditions, but I'm not sure freezing drizzle or rain is one of them (it's not the cold, it's the potential ice, especially at 1C). The voice of TTC temptation is definitely whispering to me as I eye the current weather forecast for tomorrow, but I'll see tomorrow morning.

Radirgy Swag is now out on steam! I was part of the localisation team for this one too! The lead character Tadayo has a very quirky speech style, and the whole game has its tongue firmly in its cheek, so I aimed to convey as much of that energy as possible into the messages from Tadayo and Atla
The game is fairly simple but the SFX and fast scrolling are thrilling. This game made me a fan of RS34

Give it a try - it's on 35% discount!

In making a lame joke, I thought up the IP 192.0.2.5. I seem to recall that this subnet (but I thought it was this specific IP) was the default in early Sun Unix systems. Like all the Sun3’s or whatever. And since so many people were using it as their real IP, that’s the reason they had to make this range private.

The way I remember the story is that they created this “documentation” range as an official range as an excuse to block that subnet.

Having searched on the internet a bit, I can’t find any old Internet lore that has anything to do with this. Is any part of what I remember accurate? Was it just the IETF papering over a problem created by Sun’s defaults? Was it something else?
