Hypothesis: If the output of LLMs cannot be copyrighted, anything in the training set becomes public domain.
If the recent attempt to LLM-rewrite chardet [1] holds up, then any copyrighted material can be laundered through an LLM.
Any inputs sent to an LLM for any purpose become part of the training set.
Thus, any company using LLMs has put their source code in the public domain.
But you also de-copyright research papers, the windows source code, and fintech?

Built a little app/cli to extend images to fit social media aspect ratios because I'm often hit by invalid aspect ratios.
old vs new and old vs new. Not the prettiest, but gets the job done for most cases.
This irony of paying 24€ of custom tax (VAT and 18€ of fixed price) on a 27£ item because I chose to order it from a small artisan, while people order crap from Temu and other non EU places everyday that go through customs without the ever getting taxed isn't lost on me... Fuck brexit I guess?

I think it's interesting that "Fediverse" has "diverse" in it, and I think it's worth emphasizing.
I think we have all gotten lax in explaining "federated universe"; most people I see discussing it don't even go on from there. What does "federated" mean? What does the "universe" mean in this context? Are we committed to a universal network?
