Read more →"풍미가 우수한"이 정확히 뭘 가리키는지 모르겠어서 논문을 검색해 찾아 봤는데 그냥 "delicious"로 되어 있다. 무엇을 기준으로 delicious를 정했는지 보니까 실험 전에 피험자들에게 다양한 볶음밥을 먹이고 제일 고득점한 것을 맛있는 샘플로, 점수가 제일 낮은 것을 보통 샘플로 마련했다.
기자가 왜 "맛있는" 대신 "풍미가 우수한"이라 했는지는 모르겠다.

사람의 인지 속에서 생각보다 "나쁜 소리"의 판단 기준이 허술하기 때문에, "나쁜 놈"이라고 한번 단정을 내리고 나면 중립적이거나 무관계한 발화조차도 나쁜 소리로 인식해 기존의 증명을 강화하고, 심지어 믿음의 반증이 될 만한 언동은 머리가 처리를 안 해서 기억에도 안 남고 이해도 안 되는 지경에 이른다. 확증편향이란 그런 것이다.
