아주 어렸을 때 어디 어르신이 내 사주를 봐주시고서는, 다 좋은데 말년에 지탄을 받고 몰락할 수 있는 운이 있다는 이야기를 하셨던 게 한참 지난 지금까지도 종종 기억이 나는데 (어린아이에게는 너무 무서운 이야기였다) ...나는 요즘 그게 훗날 내가 타락해서가 아니라 세상이 타락해서 내가 믿는 선과 정의를 조리돌리는 형태의 미래로써 오는 게 아닌지 상상할 때가 있다.

- 하지만 일반 모델과 달리 120Hz 화면 주사율, AOD, 초광각 카메라가 빠져 있으며, 메인 카메라 센서 크기도 다소 작음

- 17e도 나쁘지 않지만, 200달러를 더 투자하더라도 화면과 카메라 성능이 월등히 뛰어난 일반 '아이폰 17'을 구매하는 것이 훨씬 합리적인 선택

If Biden was fighting this idiotic war the US media would be tearing it apart.

But I'm getting the hang of US politics now. A war is considered good if the government behind it is racist, homophobic, transphobic and misogynistic. It doesn't matter if oil prices are high or low or if the economy is tanking or any of that. If the government is suitably bigoted then the population are all behind it, otherwise these issues are just things to pretend to care about as a mechanism to bring back bigoted government.

자주 하는 생각인데, 사람에게 불가능한 것을 기대하는 것만큼 허무한 게 없다고 생각한다. 예를 들어서 권력을 쥐면 사람이 100% 확률로 돌아버리는 게 확실하다면, 애초에 권력자가 제정신을 유지하길 바라는 것 자체가 어불성설인 것은 아닌가? 가령 사람이 물 위를 걸을 수 있다고 믿으면서 매번 실망하는 것과 마찬가지가 아닐까? 세상 꼬라지가 더러운 것과 별개로 그 사실에 끝없이 실망하면서 해결 불가능한 원한을 적립하면 무슨 도움이 될까. 그저 자기 손으로 할 수 있는 것을 다하면서 다만 염세하지 않는 것이 오래 버티는 길이라 믿는다.
