In Svenska, Jonathan = Johan. It's pronounced like “yo-one”. It’s one of the most common names in Sverige, so I joke, “If you can’t be the Johan you love, love the Johan you’re with.”

I tried that joke 3 times with Johans in Stockholm before accepting that Svenskar don’t have a cultural appreciation of Crosby, Stills & Nash.

"Guaranteed Minimum Income isn't 'less progressive'. It's more practical. GMI puts the resources where they actually belong: with the people who are struggling, not in the mailboxes of the wealthy... and as a very wealthy person myself: hell no, give that check to someone who really needs it." reddit.com/r/BasicIncome/comme

Under the Trump administration, two of the three major credit bureaus have sharply reduced the share of complaints they resolved in customers’ favor.

In 2024, Experian’s relief rate was 20%. Last year, that figure fell to less than 1%.
