well, here's a wacky one. My 32GB Lenovo went back for a warranty repair in January. I finally noticed this last night - no wonder I've been running out of memory.
Chatting to the live service, their records say it's a 16GB machine, mate!
It was certainly 32GB when I got it, and I even have the syslog of installation in Nov 2024 saying it's got 32GB.
Anyone else had Lenovo try to pull something similar?
also, they don't and *can't* email you the chat logs. Odd as they're material to the case. I'll be GDPRing those I think.

I don't have time/energy/patience to walk through more and I'm not enough of an expert in these calculations to really dig down and say whether any of these claims are outright false, but they're clearly misleading and biased. Which, no fucking surprise.

Ah yes, I would be a bit warmer during today's bike commutes if I remember to zip up the vents in my jacket that I opened up on Monday when it was (checks notes) 12+ degrees C warmer than today.
(I can make this mistake without immediately noticing because the vents closed/open difference on this jacket isn't as pronounced on some.)

그 동안은 전체적으로 베링해에 위치한 강한 블로킹 고기압의 능선이 통상적으로 한반도 기후를 설명할때 쓰이는 오호츠크 해 기단과 유사한 역할을 하면서 북동풍이 불어올 것으로 보입니다. 동풍 강수가 반복되고, 하층에서는 중국에서 이동성 고기압이 지나가면서 흐렸다 맑았다를 반복하겠죠. 다만 중국발 이동성 고기압이 지난다고는 해도 대기 중/상층의 강한 북동풍으로 인해 한반도에 직접 유입되는 황사는 생각보다 심하지 않을 가능성이 전망되고 있습니다. 물론 이 블로킹이 끝난 뒤에는... 음... 마스크 열심히 잘 하고 다닙시다^^;;
오늘은 850hPa, 500hPa, 200hPa까지 같이 보시겠습니다. 제트기류의 사행과 함께 형성된 트라프가 대기 하층에 이르기까지 큰 영향을 주고 있는 것이 보입니다. 반면 저기 북쪽에 있는 북극 한기는 조금씩 북극으로 그 폭을 좁히며 갈무리되고 있는 모습이 보입니다. 이제 조금만 더 기다리면 성층권 돌연승온과 편서풍 역전 등으로 인해 복잡하게 발생했던 제트기류의 사행이 정리되면서 겨울이 끝날 걸로 보입니다. 통상적으로 대기 상층의 에너지가 하층까지 전이되는데 걸리는 시간이 약 1~4주 가량입니다. 추위의 끝이 보입니다.
26/3/13 날씨 이것저것 봄은 느리지만 서서히 다가오고 있습니다. 한 주일을 마무리하는 금요일, 한결 깨끗해진 아침 공기와 파란 하늘 아래에서 인사드립니다. 주말이 다가오고 있어 더욱 기분좋은 아침입니다. 캄차카 인근에 있던 트라프가 남하하면서 북동풍이 강화되고 있는데요. 덕분에 눈과 꽃이 공존하는 기묘한 날씨가 되었습니다. 물론 자산시장에는 미국발 피바다가 불고 있어서 증시에 조금이라도 발을 걸치고 계신 분들은 오늘 내내 피를 토하는 기분이 드시겠지만, 오히려 이때야 말로 자산 재조정을 할 수 있는 기회가 아닐까 싶습니다.
