Imagine if we treated cars the way we're treating e-bikes in the US?
Okay, since a few of you have been speeding, and some people have died, Now every car is limited to a 4 cylinder engine with no more than 50hp, And all cars must be governed to no more than 35mph. We're also going to ban cars from any road where the speed limit is 25 or under.
That's literally what's going on right now with e-bikes. Laws are being written that are so restrictive and stupid in some places that they basically render e-bikes e-waste. And that's on purpose. The idea being to get people to stop riding them and to force them back into cars. Because that's all our lawmakers care at all about here.
It's so backwards it drives me nuts!

I understand everyone is under pressure, and I wish you all the best. Especially if we disagree on things, I am often wrong.
I feel that everything I had hoped to gain from writing FLOSS is slowly but surely eroding. My freedom and joy are being soaked up by intense pressures, both internal to FLOSS and external.
Software will get worse before it gets better. Burnout could push maintainers to lower their standards and embrace "AI". Hardware will continue to complexify.

Trip spanned six full days (not counting arriving late a previous night and leaving early a next morning) and literally every single meal I ate, lunch and dinner, was a "destination" (IE a place where I or someone else would say "oh if you're going to Houston you have to go to—").
Seems to indicate some honestly good things about the quality of the food in Houston, really. That I could find 12 places.
Note: One of the 12 places was inside "Meow Wolf" but for reasons I think it still counts.
