Hi . We need to talk about something.

While talking to a colleague about how I recently learned most people have never sat on a cat it came up that she has never really been far even as decided to use even to want to do look more like. Like, not even once during childhood.

My hypothesis is that most people have at one point in their life really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like.

Jensen Huang is not a software engineer and is not a computer scientist.

He is an electrical engineer who first designed microchips and then became CEO of his own microchip company.

These guys who cannot shut up about the future of software engineering and why you should not learn anything about software engineering? They don't know shit about software engineering themselves.

And yet for some reason we keep repeating their bullshit as gospel.

(the reason is "they're rich therefore they must be very smart otherwise the American Dream would be a lie")

Hi . We need to talk about something.

While talking to a colleague about how I recently learned most people have never sat on a crow it came up that she has never been sat on by a cat. Like, not even once during childhood.

Another colleague admitted they also have never been sat on by a cat.

My hypothesis is that most people have at one point in their life sat on by a cat.

Skandál z lednového mistrovství Afriky nabírá nových rozměrů.
Kontinentální fotbalová federace složitě obhajuje úterní rozhodnutí, kterým odebrala titul Senegalu a přisoudila ho poraženému Maroku. Západoafrická země se odvolala ke sportovnímu arbitrážnímu soudu. Africký fotbal celou kauzou výrazně ztratil na důvěryhodnosti.

붉은 사막의 조작감은 가끔 딱 그때 같다고 느껴진다" m.ruliweb.com/news/board/1... ......

evil* idea for likes/shares/etc collections that allow interactions by direct POST. instead of POST to inbox you just POST to the collection. the collection can return 4xx if your interaction isn't accepted, and if it's missing you just "can't" interact that way. basically every interaction collection could be its own "inbox" in a way. you could still use something like AP outbox delivery to forward published activities to appropriate targets.

*not really evil

Are there any programming languages that do whitespace-aware precedence? So 1+2 * 3+4 is 3 * 7 but 1 + 2 * 3 + 4 is 1 + 6 + 4. Or possibly 3 * 3 + 4, if you aren't bringing along any other precedence rules (besides parentheses, let's say).

A lot of people in tech want me to produce more work but get upset if I talk about what it costs me to produce work, I really hope eventually we can get a little bit better at accepting that social, cultural, psychological work is real work

Current status: reverse engineering my hacks to this test machine so I can write up proper install instructions for a slightly more proper version of it. Also, mutating the hacks in the process, because why not improve them while I'm at it?

Achievement unlocked: first NAT setup with nftables instead of iptables, for no really good reason.
