Tip for folks travelling to #FOSDEM via Cologne: your train might be delayed to the degree that your connecting train to Brussels might not be reached. Chances are high your connecting train also gets a delay late coming into Cologne, allowing a transfer. Obvisouly this will not work every time, but keep an eye on the DB Navigator.
