What a whirlwind 72 hours in #Brussels for #FOSDEM! Everyone I met has been working so so hard to build technology explicitly trying to break out of a broken system of corporate hegemony. There were so many different fields present here but I primarily focused on the #fediverse track.

My trip started off with getting to spend most of the first day hanging out with @hongminhee洪民憙 (Hong Minhee) and @2chanhaeng초무, and discussing how our various cultures differed and aligned. How our social upbringings brought us to where we are. And how the politics of inclusively and multiculturalism are at the center of many of the technologies we care about. Then randomly seeing this fediverse/peertube news on live French tv while eating shawarma at an Iranian shop really jumpstarted the experiance.
