The #opensource phenomenon is now decades old. There are countless developments, successes and failures, adoption and cooption. Still nerd territory but somebody should write a book about it as this is one of the most remarkable positive behaviors in an otherwise mostly regressive timeline.

My top-three inflection points:

#linux, the foundation of everything

#python, democratizing the fearsome algorithm

#activitypub, the (still mostly unfulfilled) binding of digital society
