“What’s it like having a view of the ocean every day?”

“Well. Often when the wind hits like 50mph or so it knocks down my Camellia plant and that is pretty annoying. But the white caps are pretty to watch.”

A wind speed graph for this weekend that shows increasing wind speeds peaking around 20mph on Friday, 50mph at a couple points on Saturday and over 60mph on Sunday with a sustained wind speed above 50mph for multiple hour stretches during the day.

Just released 0.9.0! 🎉

This version brings two major improvements to our zero-dependency library for :

  1. New Synchronous Configuration API: You can now configure LogTape synchronously with configureSync(), disposeSync(), and resetSync(). Perfect for simpler setups where you don't need async operations!

  2. Better Runtime Compatibility: We've moved all file-related components to a separate @logtape/file package. This means the core package now works flawlessly across all JavaScript environments—browsers, edge functions, and various bundlers without any file system dependencies.

Plus, we've added level mapping options for console sinks, giving you more control over how your logs appear.

今回のバージョンでは、TypeScript向けの依存関係ゼロのロギングライブラリに二つの大きな改善を加えました：

  1. 新しい同期設定API：configureSync()、disposeSync()、resetSync()を使って同期的にLogTapeを設定できるようになりました。非同期操作が不要なシンプルな環境に最適です！

  2. ランタイム互換性の向上：ファイル関連のコンポーネントをすべて別パッケージ@logtape/fileに移動しました。これにより、コアパッケージはファイルシステム依存なしで、ブラウザ、エッジ関数、各種バンドラーなど、あらゆるJavaScript環境でシームレスに動作します。

さらに、コンソールシンクにレベルマッピングオプションを追加し、ログの表示方法をより細かく制御できるようになりました。

I go by it/its pronouns, but don't mind she/her. Not they/them, never he/him.
If your language doesn't have a separate set of pronouns for "things" or uses "generic masculine" variants, use the female variations (e.g. in german es/ihr).

This account is quirky and weird and so am I. *Appearing* professional (not to be confused with *acting* respectful and reasonable) is somewhat I personally despise and is in my opinion an expression of coperate dehumanization.

I post musings about my life, experiences, small victories, occasional vents, (occasionally lewd and cw'ed) shitposts, rare selfies, gender stuff, political things, mental health, .. a lot ...

I barely post about work on #COSMICdesktop, though I somewhat frequently post about FOSS and boost a lot cool tech stuff I come across.

Other than many things tech (keyboards, VR, mobile linux, wayland, self-hosting, ..) I am into music (#metalhead), Games (#HollowKnight my beloved) , bouldering, coffee, board games, hiking, ...
