it suddenly occurs to me that the free software movement is an extremely inept attempt at a strike. the idea of copyleft is that you attach conditions that preclude profiteering users of the output of your labor from performing certain actions that you view as objectionable, in order to maintain equitable access to the means of production. but of course this is such a roundabout, convoluted and ineffective way of doing this that open source garbled it into meaninglessness immediately

A typical algorithmic Youtube video:
- 10 mins long.
- Contains 20 seconds of actual information.
- Leaves very little practical improvement in my life, before moving on to the next new 10 min video etc.
So I decided to seek out and expose myself to as much of the *opposite* of this as possible.
I found talks by experienced monks work well:
- 15 to 30min long.
- Very dense - 15 min video contains ~4 hours of information.
- Watch same video many times, new practical insight each time.
Since 2009, I've been contributing to open web tools & standards, with a focus on CSS and related platform features at the W3C. But that work takes resources, making it hard for independent contributors like us

My parents are taking me on a bike ride from Melbourne to Sydney via the coast.
We're mostly riding trails and avoiding highways so we're going to be driving between sections and taking the very long route.
The plan is to do it over 2 weeks but we currently only have a plan for the first 8 days which gets us to Orbost which involves ~500km of riding and ~150km of driving.
From Orbost we're probably driving to Eden. But we don't yet have a plan for where to go from there.

I published my touchpad board generator I wrote for the 
@mntmnminute Reform Touchpad.
It takes a diamond pattern dxf and turns them into polygon pours and fully routes them with net names etc. applied correctly for each row/column. Saves you several thousands of clicks vs fully manual approach.
Also contains a modified pattern generator from TI for OpenSCAD.
I've uploaded my game Sigma Dice to the Google Play Store! It's a #FOSS solitaire dice game made in the #Godot engine. Feel free to play it and go through the source code.
Hopefully soon I'll have time to add it to Fdroid as well!
