The original sin of the fedi is that it started off as mostly a bunch of tight-knit communities that could also talk to each other. Being on a server felt like you found your people. Moderation was strict. This all worked because few people were here.
But today is different. The revolutionary potential here for finally solving the attention control exerted by money over culture, is sadly in conflict with the experience and expectations of the people who made it great. #FediverseHouse #SocialWeb

I was doing some work with shadcn-vue and it had changed from using Radix Vue to Reka UI. I tried to migrate but wasted 15 minutes on it and gave up. As indies, we don't have a lot of time to spare. The current state works for now and should for a while any way. #buildinpublic

* Since Canada's economy relies on trade with the US it's not a "real" country

I have been idly wondering, if we make it out of this, when we have our Nuremburg Trials, where will they be? DC seems like an impractical place to do it. They were held in Nuremburg and not Berlin for several good reasons.
Doing a little reading today though, I realized the parallel answer is obvious: Charlottesville. Hold out hope for the Charlottesville Trials one day.
