From my reading about social media platforms growing exponentially, there comes a point where growing a #moderation team is essential. This problem is less common with the #Fediverse with self-hosted small instances. But what about the larger instances? Have any #devs thought about implementing features such as is available in #Discourse. A #trust based moderation system as a community grows? Is that even a feasible thing to do?

and the breakage is the way of letting them know that this happened. basically, not following the strict rules of semver is more problematic the widerspread things are. if most users are on 2, and you need to backport a thing to 1, having breakage isn't the worst, only affects some people
but, you also have to like, consider that semver is primarily a way of communicating breakage. and so like, you could actually argue that if the security issue is bad enough, a semver-minor release that breaks is better than the above, because you want people to get the fix more quickly

i have lots of complicated feelings about mozilla. i'd give more credit to graydon and the other early contributors. rust was always kinda weirdly insulated from the rest of mozilla, for good reasons mostly. some mozilla culture did creep in but imho mostly bad not good

Sad to say NGI Zero didn't accept my grant request for #GoActivityPub.
I am a bit disappointed if I'm honest. I hoped that a library that threads new ground for developers for both client and servers applications would have fit their criteria very well. I might not have made the case well enough I guess.

The delusion of there still being a "twitter" is convenient to elon as it gives one an excuse to subconciously ignore all the fascism and keep using the platform as if nothing had happened, thus contributing to network effects
