#USPol #ElonMusk #Trump #WallStreet

Few people seem to be aware that we are in an economic crisis created by Donnie the Stable Genius.

The majority of left-leaning folks suffer from yet another lack of imagination about how bad things can get in the USA and how quickly we are heading for that reality.

We are not in a rerun of Trump's first term, with extra stupidity and human rights violations.

Maga is in the process of burning it all down.

Hello, new followers and visitors! I'm a digital artist in old mediums esp. and , and an (thegreenherring.itch.io)! I post mainly here, but not always! Some of my art's for mature audiences only; check your sensitive content settings to hide/show it as you prefer. My website can be found at thegreenherring.neocities.org. Enjoy!

A lean green fishperson with long parted hair wearing red glasses, earrings, and a tight red satin blouse, along with form-fitting black satin trousers, greets the visitor to their website with a smile and a wave of their hand, their other hand resting on their hip and their tail lifted. The text says: "The Green Herring: Art, Games and More! This site is intended for users 18 or over! Welcome to my domain, where you can find my artwork, games, music and more. What would you like to see today?"A showcase of high-density ANSI art and pixelart. It includes "Circus of Dreams", a long ANSI art comic/tapestry depicting a circus which won 3rd at Deadline 2024; a tapestry depicting Sparkster from "Rocket Knight Adventures" flying into space along with his portrait; a Sega Mega Drive/Gensis pixelart title screen of a furry mage in a field; a full-screen Game Boy portrait; and various high-detail and high-resolution ANSI art images that include a trans kangaroo woman relaxing happily at the beach, fennec/red panda streamer RachelRetro leaping through the air carrying a Twitch Verified symbol, and a mohawked punk skunk in a jumpsuit carrying a pogo stick in a forest of giant mushrooms.Various lower-resolution ANSI art images with such images as: a farmer pig playing the banjo while sitting on the rusted remains of a robot; an alien explorer and their drone observing the ruins of a domed city; Krampus marching through the countryside at night drawn with colored outlines; a polar bear dancing to a boombox in the arctic while another stares in confusion; alien creatures on an alien world by a river of bubbling acid; two clasping hands against a black background with trans pride nail polish; an otter in an underwater cyberspace environment swimming away from a gigantic computer displaying FTP messages; a raccoon lady in a wetsuit surfing through cyberspace; and the same raccoon surfing a detailed wave in the ocean.A screenshot of The Green Herring's ZZT game "Cyber Purge" running in ClassicZoo, showcasing our nonbinary hero's fox head avatar facing down the fascist villain's avatar on the title screen, beckoning the villain to take them on.

Born in 1914, Hedy Lamarr was a famous American actress who pioneered the technology that would lead to WiFi, GPS, cell phones & Bluetooth communication.

Lamarr was brilliant. Among many fascinating inventions, she developed a new communication system with composer George Antheil that used “frequency hopping” among radio waves.

Once called the “most beautiful woman in the world," Lamarr is now remembered as "the mother of Wi-Fi."

Shame on Planned Parenthood of Arizona for dropping their trans patients because of threats from Trump. What happens when they make you stop providing abortions? Birth control? PReP? Gonna roll over then too? These orgs complying are cowardly.

yo, man. word on the street is that there's a nasty sickness spreading through town that makes you talk like a character from a late 2000s racing game. you can kick it to the curb if you win three races... but i doubt you got a chance in that lame ass ride of yours. i've added the qualifier to your T-Mobile GPS. see you in my rear view mirror, dog.

Ooh, TIL about github.com/wader/fq (packaged in debian/ubuntu as fq.) "jq for binaries" - for example fq -crV '.program_headers[1].data' /bin/ls - but it also has an html parser, so curl | fq -r -d html '.html.head.meta[]|select(."@property" == "og:description")."@content"' gets the OpenGraph thumbnail description. (This would have been helpful back in December, I ended up writing a helper script that used BeautifulSoup - which was probably still the correct choice in the end :-)

일단 월터 블룸버그의 트위터 계정도 관련 내용을 포스팅 했는데, 아직 그 근거가 아래의 화물 시스템 메시징 서비스 말고는 없음.

OPEN SOURCE SOFTWARE LOGO HALL OF FAME

in no particular order

  1. OpenSSH. a clever play on words, a frankly indulgent use of shading, a timeful (antonym of timeless) use of drop shadow, and a tagline that never has, nor will, seen any use. all displayed as a GIF that can be easily made over ten kilobytes smaller by simply converting it to PNG, a format that has been supported in web browsers since internet explorer 7 launched in 2006.
  2. strace. the choice of an animal associated with an idiom about ignoring things that make you uncomfortable as the mascot for a tool frequently used for performance tracking is inspired. the look on its face asks if you really want to resort to using this tool. the presence of those varying line thicknesses harkens back to the era of microsoft's clipart library. it's comforting.
  3. pigz. no abstract representations of concepts or animal mascots here. the name of the project in a soothingly round font, progressively fading away, like an echoing voice shouted into a cave. it encourages your inner monologue to voice its name with reverberation. there can be no doubt as to the project this logo represents. powerful.
  4. GCC. a baby GNU is born from a compiler collection egg. a clever representation of what GCC does, while still incorporating the overarching GNU theme. it gives a refreshing youth to one of the oldest C compilers still in contemporary use. helpfully, the egg is labelled "GCC" in italic capitals. a striking display of clarity and purpose.
openssh banner. it's a pufferfish with a tie and sunglasses holding a briefcase labelled "top secret". the pufferfish is pursing its lips and covering them with its fin, and saying "ssh". to the right is the name of the project in yellow, with the block text subtitle of "KEEPING YOUR COMMUNIQUÉS SECRET".strauss, the strace ostrich. he looks concerned. simple "clipart" style with solid colours.pigz logo. the word "pigz" in a 70s-esque font, repeated, trailing off into smaller, more transparent versions of itself.GCC logo. an egg with a gnu hatching from it. simple lineart, solid colours. the word "GCC" is printed on the egg.

github feature proposal simulator

Bloplang Pull Request #48592: Add zip method to iterators :gh_closed_1::gh_closed_2::gh_closed_3:

:bean_red: This is a proposal to add the zip method to iterators. This would allow you to join two iterators together, alternating between results from both. E.g. tens.zip(hundreds) would give [10, 100, 20, 200, 30].... This has been the most requested feature on our wishlist for seven months, and my initial implementation here provides a 12% speed up on the test_cases/thousands_of_types.blop. 👍 532 👎 12 🚀 226 👀 114 😕 3

:bot: BlobBot says: Hi red_bean :bean_red: ! Thanks for opening a pull request to Bloplang! I've run your code, and found this: Maximum regression: 0.05%. Maximum improvement: 12.03%. I've assigned curly_brace :curly_brace: to approve your code. Don't forget to leave a star! 👍 221 🚀 179 👀 12

:bot: BlopBot added the "BlopBot Seal of Approval" "No regressions" labels.

:rct_guest: I've never heard of "zip" before. Googling it, it seems to be a compression algorithm? Not sure what this has to do with iterators. I suggest naming it interleave instead. 👍 23 👎 34

:bean_red: zip seems to be pretty widely accepted. For example, Rust and Python call it zip. 👍 27 😕 1

:green_is_my_pepper: yeah i've never head of zip before. interleave is too long tho, how about weave 👍 54 👎 27

↕️ This comment was marked as off-topic.

ℹ️ :curly_brace: requested 1 change.

:curly_brace: This for loop could be better expressed as a map. 😕 1

 How about spritz? In the idiolect of English spoken by my Discord server, spritz is very commonly used to refer to mixing things together. EDIT If you're going to laugh react, please leave a comment explaining why. 👍 5 😆 143

:green_is_my_pepper: wtf is a spritz 👎 5 😕 26

:curly_brace: That's a bug with your Linux distribution’s zip command, which has nothing to do with Bloplang. Open a thread on the Fedora forums to discuss that, although they'll probably tell you that Fedora 32 is EOL. 👍 66

:rct_guest: Okay, so we have 17 votes in favour of zip, 12 for weave, 5 for spritz, and somehow only 2 for interleave. Oh, and 1 each for sprinkle, intersperse_at_least_two_iterators_with_each_other, and sum. I'm beginning to suspect botting. 👍 7 😕 12

:curly_brace: Hey read bean :bean_red: - this pull request is out of sync with main. Could you rebase on top of the twelve thousand commits that have occurred since you opened this? Thanks! 👍 63 🚀 2

:gale: whats stoping this from being merged? can we get an eta 👍 12 😕 2

:rct_guest: It's mostly a debate on the name to use. I'm not sure why people aren't voting for interleave. I've provided numerous arguments as to why it's the obvious option, and I've even linked a conversation with ChatGPT 4-o proving that it makes the most sense. Sigh. 👍 2 😕 70 😆 11
