People have been seeing tons of ads from these guys on our Yotube videos, so i’ve blocked all ads from these urls ahead of election day. Hope other Aussie YouTube creators can afford to do the same. The missed revenue is worth it to deprive them of one more billboard for their bullshit

Here's an idea of what sort of ads Matt Mullenweg allows on Tumblr (cw: graphic violent content / gun violence)

For far too long these ads have been persistently running on tumblr despite reports of their harmful and graphically violent nature. As I point out, as a user I would be expected to apply a community label for mature / violence to post the video of that ad that runs natively on tumblr.

It's rather disgraceful, and sure, you might not have much pick in ads, but the least you could do is make sure they're not literally gun violence.

說到公私不分，我幹過最大條的大概就是去年的事

去年還在前公司時，負責了一個花東的大型聯名旅企劃，那個效益當時算過最少能帶來兩三千萬上下，按正常流程，這案子推下去大家都可以爽爽領績效。
但從花蓮王去年開始亂搞開始，我就一直很不爽「這樣有意義嗎？」，跟主管討論後，就自己一個人花週末時間整理資料報告，後續把整個企劃退回日本總公司重審。從「為什麼這案子不能做」到「會對品牌聲譽造成什麼後座力」，甚至連當地縣市政府被那些垃圾人操控的脈絡，都一條條寫清楚列出來，最後直接不做🤷🏻

自己砍自己寫的企劃這種事，我現在也完全不後悔，甚至覺得超值

I visited Grindavík yesterday. The town is mostly empty at this time with many houses damaged by the recent earthquakes and volcanic activity in the area. It was quiet for 800 years, but has been active on and off the last few years.

I am saddened to see the state of the town. I always feel a fondness for Grindavík. My grandmother lived there with her parents and siblings and she always talked about how much she loved living there. Same applies to a member of the Vivaldi team, who had to leave town with his family when the eruptions started.

What has been wonderful to see and impressive is how people have worked together to deal with these events. Massive walls have been erected to keep the lava from entering town and the neighboring power plant and Blue Lagoon. When lava has flowed across roads, new roads have been built. When the parking lot at the Blue Lagoon got flooded with lava, a new one was quickly created.

You cannot control these massive forces, but in Iceland they have learned to at least impact them to reduce the damage. Impressive.

내가 M1이 처음 나왔을 때 시큰둥했던 이유가 gcc 대응이 늦어서였음. 애플이 clang/LLVM을 퍼스트 파티로 밀어주고 있지만 오픈 소스 SW들 잘 쓰려면 결국 gcc가 있긴 있어야 하거든.

지금은 시간이 좀 걸리긴 했지만 gcc 대응도 잘 되고, 오픈 소스 SW들이 clang 지원도 많이 하고 그래서 애플 실리콘을 싫어하지는 않음. 리눅스 커널도 잘 돈다고 하고.
