Es betrifft nur einen Spezialfall - die Briefeintragung über unser Web-Formular ist davon nicht betroffen, auch nicht unser Listen-PDF. Nur das persönliche Formular zum direkten Einsenden bei der Behörde.
Wir haben es nun lokal gespiegelt ...

I've been reading an interesting article by Liguo Yu et. al., "Maintainability of the kernels of open-source operating systems: A comparison of Linux with FreeBSD, NetBSD, and OpenBSD" (DOI: 10.1016/j.jss.2005.08.014). Keep in mind, the article is from 2005 (published in 2006), so it would be interesting to know how things have changed since then. We are talking here about #Linux 2,4,20, #FreeBSD 5.1, #NetBSD 1.6 and #OpenBSD 3.3.
The article basically explores maintainability of said OSes judging mainly by usage of global variables.
Here's some interesting takeouts.
"Unsafe definition" is in their terms a usage of global variables between kernel modules and non-kernel modules.

結果人民竟然透過罷免個別立委的機制，大面積造成半個國會重選。真的很不可思議。生命會自己找出路，民主似乎也會。只要民間這種韌性不死，對未來還是充滿信心。附帶一提，民進黨對大罷免的應對也不錯，沒有介入主導（也不會被接受），但是在背後在旁邊能做的多少都有做。
罷免尚未成功，同志仍需努力！

I’ve lost count of how many times I was dismissed with very serious issues because I was ‘too young’ and/or a woman.
My Dysautonomia was missed for years because ‘you’re too young for heart problems’
My EDS wasn’t diagnosed until my late thirties because ‘you’re young and otherwise healthy so the pain is in your head’
After my hysterectomy, I bled into my belly for two weeks while the ER repeatedly sent me home saying I was ‘too young’ to be having a serious post operative complication.
Misogyny, discrimination and bias in medicine kills. It disables. It traumatizes.
I was lucky to survive my experiences, but I don’t want any of us to survive based on luck.
We deserve the same level of care as men, and I will keep fighting until we get it.

Fun things with slpkg: one can try a “slpkg install gdm” to get the minimalist gnome you can. Or “LibreOffice” will pull it and its deps in, “hyprland” will pull all the pkgs needed for that as well. And simply “slpkg remove hyprland” will delete it and all its deps along the way. I can’t get all the cli opts working but that’s enough to get by with.
I continue to be surprised by people who disregard the value of a 3D display, I suspect it is often due people not having experienced an actually *working* 3D display yet and the possibilities it offers.
Attached the same view of my rotation visualisation for macOS and visionOS. Both are actually 2D, because I took one using the simulator 🙈 I think it transports the idea that you can actually *see* the 3D rotation in a 3D display and don't need some wonky 2D projection of it.
