My rap album of the year (so far) is "Palookaville" by Serengeti. Possibly his best album to date, which is amazing because "Ajai" has been on regular rotation for me since 2021.

Palookaville is a concept album about what happens after your 15 minutes of fame. There's a guy who becomes part crab and wins accolades for underwater breathing, a woman whose facelift makes her a poker savant, and other characters who get weirdly famous and then have an inevitable downfall.

I think I've fully adopted to writing scripts in #typescript with #deno. 😅 It can be so immensely convenient.

You can bundle hack something fairly quickly. With dependencies pinned. And most of all, still have some level of security.

Can't say the same of all my other language scripts. 🫠

1/2 I was talking to @howtophilHowToPhil (Phillip R) about GEOS and decided that I would spin up a VM to run it. Let me tell you what I learned. I used Qemu and started with FreeDOS (FD14 is really slick!) but GEOS20 would error out on launch. Something to do with memory/files/buffers but none of my fiddling would get it to work. I thought it might have something to do with memory management so I spun up a generic MSDOS6 VM...

At the point where if an app's marketing describes it as "beautiful" I instantly see red warning lights flashing and become incredibly worried about what doofy, repulsive interface decision is causing them to describe their interface as "beautiful"
