いつだったか、データベースの授業で「"種別" 列の値が 'りんご' のレコードと 'みかん' のレコードを取り出しなさい」ってやったら、「 "種別" = 'りんご' AND "種別" = 'みかん' 」って書いちゃう学生が一定数いたし

これは英語を含む自然言語に実際にある問題で、 a lawyer and a doctor と a lawyer and doctor という例がある。

昨天首次去參加了「週三青年日」的講座活動。題目是「在飛彈掉下來和沒掉下來的時候：聽聽烏克蘭街訪，聊聊台灣」。

講座當中看了兩段各約十幾分鐘左右的烏克蘭紀錄片，聚焦在「戰火下的烏克蘭兒童」以及「醫院人道立場」。很喜歡主講人獨立記者的劉致昕先生以人為本的工作態度，他不慍不火、沉穩卻有力道的言論，讓我震撼極權者的思考態度不是我們這種從小生長在自由世界的人能輕易想像。整場講座我真的…幾乎皺眉整場到臉都在痠（？），現實情況實在是太嚴重太虐心了。

沒有做筆記但是簡單憑印象記錄幾件事：

➡️對烏克蘭來說，俄國侵略不是從2022年2月的飛彈砲擊開始，而是從2014年佔領克里米亞地區開始。

➡️「佔領區」與「非佔領區」完全是不同的兩個世界。

➡️「去中心化」的重要性。一個國家不能只仰賴一位領導人、把所有責任丟到他身上去承擔、去怪罪。每個人都去思考自己能做的事去做，那是戰爭下能活下去的人所帶有的態度。

I know this is typical but I find it so upsetting.

I have to ask because searching for things like "holding drafting compass portrait" give results littered with garbage like this.

More than half of image search results are AI generated and they are *so* bad. Even if I wanted a magnetic compass he's not even holding it!

If the goal of the class is to make students interested in a topic and have them learn most, much more of the burden is on the educator to think about how to facilitate that.
