I tried letting "Claude Code" solve a coding problem for me.

It was iterating, trying edits, running the tests, revising the code. But then when it couldn't get the tests pass to after a couple of iterations, it updated the test suite to just skip those tests, declaring that they were unreliable and not useful. 😂

The tests were passing before Claude got involved. Our jobs are safe for now.

My son sent pictures of the breadboard in his Digital Logics lab class which was populated with 7400 series chips. These things were 30 years old when I went to college and used them in a similar class. Laughed when I saw they were still made by TI.

I've got my own Bluesky relay now too :] relay.feeds.blue

Ok, technically it's a not a full-network one - I added ~2000 known self-hosted PDSes there, but *without* Bluesky-run ones. Which means it has like 2 orders of magnitude less traffic than a full one… But if you're self-hosting a PDS, you should see your records streaming through there, if you either send a requestCrawl there or my PDS indexer has found you.

Attached: 3 images I spend my way to RustWeek with playing around on @fasterthanlime@hachyderm.io facet library and checking out if diesel might use it at some point. I started with setting up something to load values from the database. That seems to be possible, even with retaining most of the compile time checks performed by diesel. The given implementation at least would allow us to provide a (stripped down) replacement of derive(Queryable). #rust #rustlang

This proposal describes an ActivityPub extension to allow actors to publish a short status text, with optional expiration, link attachment, and history.

Some centralized communication services provide their users with the ability to set a status on their account, which is usually displayed on their profile and sometimes next to their name in other places in the UI. These are distinct from regular posts because they can not be interacted with in any way whatsoever, can't contain media attachments, and usually have a short character limit on the order of several hundred characters at most. Statuses are always visible to anyone who can see the actor itself.

이거 관련으로 여성단체에서 민주주의 강의 들을 때, 이번 광장에서 유독 여성과 그간 움츠러져있던 소수자들이 많이 나온 이유와 서부지법폭동이 벌어진 이유를 아무도 모른다 다들 서부지법폭동 사태에 너무 놀란다
페미니스트인 우리는 왜 그렇게 된 건지 누구보다 잘 말해줄 수 있는데 아무 기자도 우리에게 안 묻더라 아는 기자가 말하길 '무슨 이야기 할 지 아는데 그거 너무 뻔하고 사람들에게 안 먹힐거다'라더라 ~식의 말을 하셨던게 생각나기도 하고요

我一直以为：广东广西港澳和中南半岛同属东南亚，西北各省和自治区和中亚国家属于中亚文化圈，云贵川藏属于喜马拉雅文化圈，俄罗斯远东地区中国东北朝鲜半岛日本大部分地区是东北亚，西伯利亚和北极圈是北亚，南亚次大陆是南亚，内外蒙古属于内陆亚洲，还有一个新兴的季风亚洲研究……中原华北华中华东才是东亚。

但是最近我看到，简中世界把它们全统称东亚？是大东亚虚荣丸的售卖范围扩大了，还是某些教材版本只把亚洲分为东-西两块？

The universe is decaying much faster than thought. This is shown by calculations of three Dutch scientists on the so-called Hawking radiation. They calculate that the last stellar remnants take about 1078 years to perish. That is much shorter than the previously postulated 101100 years.

Note again that the PKK :pkk: declared 30 years ago exactly this year to follow the Geneva Conventions (todon.eu/@b9AcE/11388427546193) and has adamantly followed that decision to not use terrorism since then, regardless of incorrect politically motivated "terrorist"-labeling by States for the purpose of pleasing the State Turkey, for callous diplomatic convenience and imperialist power projection purposes, while it on the other hand committed countless war crimes even at periods several major and intentional documented daily, so their phrases now of achieving a "Turkey without terrorism" was through all that time easy for them to achieve by as the culprit stop doing those.
It still, as in all conflict, remains up to the aggressor to let the conflict actually end and so we can only hope that Erdoğan and gang will not sabotage the peace process again.
