FWIW I have never had a Facebook nor Instagram account, but can only guess how much of a sacrifice it is to leave all those connections behind, especially for heavy users. But the fact these platform giants use our conversations and expressions as an implement of blackmail - threatening to delete it all - shows very clearly they are no better than a shitty landlord. It is an act of care for community and self to stop feeding such toxicity. Stop paying rent.

Worth mentioning that if I can get hold of a pair of Meta's new face recog RayBan glasses I will study them with the aim to detect and hopefully disable them at a distance.

I did the same for Google Glass (covered by Wired, Hackaday, Time) back in the day. I named it Glasshole.sh.

본문의 주제와는 살짝 벗어나 있긴 하지만,

실제로 저런 궁예 화법을 하는 사람들이 주변에 꽤 있는 편임. 뭔가 나한테 하고 싶은 말이 있는 것 같은데, 물어보면 말을 안함. 그런데 자꾸 주변에 뭔가를 흘리고 다님. 이런 걸 가리켜 변죽을 때린다고 하지. 나한테는 절대로 얘기 안함. 내가 대놓고 "니가 원하는 게 이거냐?"라고 물어봐도 "아니 뭐 딱히 그렇다는 건 아니고..." 이러고 자꾸 흘림.

하지만, 뭐 하루이틀도 아니고 이런 건 이골이 났는지라... 직접 요구하지 않으면 반응 안해줌. 필요하면 직접 요구할 것. 내가 미루어 짐작해서 도와주길 바라지 말고. 지금 내 코가 석잔데, 그런 것 까지 신경써야겠냐며...

Finally got to build this. Quick UI toggles to see all possible permutations of a post.

Previously was trying out Storybook.js but it's a bit too much for my needs (too many files, too many clicks).

CSS view transitions are pretty cool. More permutations need to be added later. And it's fun building this.

I got a lot of excited responses and comments about it, but also a noteworthy handful asking something along the lines of this… People should not be prioritizing no-JS users. No one turns off JavaScript. Today, I wanted to talk about why that’s wrong, and why you should care about the no-JS experience.

One of the big differences between and is that in WP original research is banned, and in OSM, it's our gold standard!

You don't need to find 3rd party references before you can add something to OSM. “I went there and looked at it (here's a photo)” is not only the OK, but actually _better_ than (e.g.) a newspaper article!
