  • STOP playing the games

  • STOP fucking talking about it

  • STOP engaging with this franchise altogether

  • PERMANENTLY

every dollar and every moment you spend towards the harry potter fandom gives it and by extension transphobia space in our cultural consciousness and harms trans people directly

I've been using for nine years, but today I looked at European alternatives. has almost identical results and is probably based on , as is DDG. has different results and does not match either or Bing. Both are acceptable as search engines.

But I miss the extra features, especially the conversions. Qwant has none and Ecosia only has currencies. I miss Bang!s too.

This summer we're asking the question: What if we just started using GNOME OS as our primary OS?

It's still early days for GNOME OS, but it's finally ready for wider testing by developers and early adopters, on real hardware. Join us for a 3-month challenge from today until September 1st, file and fix some issues, and win a a OnePlus 6 with Linux Mobile or a limited-edition shirt 🌈👕

Michael Turton discusses Taiwanese identity and why it persists

"...despite the daunting economic problems facing Taiwan, local identity continues to solidify... the proportion of voters identifying as “Taiwanese” continues to broadly rise over time, irrespective of the state of the economy."

“For the average internet user, the implications of this decline are more than theoretical. As platforms like Facebook and Google become the primary gateways to information, users unknowingly limit their worldview to what these platforms choose to prioritize, driven by algorithms focused on engagement over comprehensiveness.”

joanwestenberg.com/the-interne

我自己對這個現象的想法分成兩個層面;

"Vision seller, i would like your strongest visions"
"My visions are too strong for you, dreamer"
"I am going out in the rain, and when the rain washes me clean i will need your strongest visions, vision seller!"
"I keep my crystal visions to myself, dreamer. But I do have dreams of loneliness that like a heartbeat drive you mad in the stillness of remembering what you had and what you lost, if you would like those?"

The job market is now worse for recent college grads than the overall job market.

The root cause is unclear but it seems to be a confluence of factors. The leading theory is that AI + experienced employees reduces the need for entry level workers. Another is tariff uncertainty and COVID overhang.

Either way, a college degree is no longer the hot ticket it once was.
