Today's fun body symptoms:
- looks like the diarrhoea is gone, but my stomach still hurts
- random muscle aches and pains
- an annoying headache/neck pain combo
- tiredness
- probably coughing & respiratory stuff because I can already feel it.

What makes me mad is I've seen countless medical professionals, explained to all of them over the past 6 years that I've a cough that starts after eating by what feels like allergies & random foods disagreeing with me, presenting with stomach pains & shit. Not one of them bothered to consider MCAS, even though it's been in the ICD-10 since 2016, and I've had to research my symptoms myself and try to come up with possibilities.

They did insist in 2024 that I get tested for tuberculosis though, which if that was the case would've been 5 years too late and I would've started an outbreak.

Now I'm hoping an appointment tomorrow goes well and my doctor actually listens to me, because my Hausarzt (GP) doesn't care.

Just finished Arundhati Roy's book, "God of Small Things".

Along with Pankaj Mishra's "Run and Hide", these books mark my new standard for how beautiful prose looks like.

Both books made me feel intense emotions, to the extent that I still remember passages from Mishra's book, months after I finish it, and feel intense pangs of sadness.

Any recommendations for similar books, in terms of intensity and, overall, the critique of society?

(Operation Dynamo)

邱吉爾名言:「我們不會投降!」(We shall never surrender.)

Using the GOOGLEFINANCE() function in Google Sheets is so disappointing, because it ... sometimes works, and sometimes doesn't. And today it doesn't, randomly, for certain inputs, and I need to send the sheet to the tax folks.

I wish there were better error messages.

I could really use everyone's support right now, as I've been physically unable to work for most of the last two weeks due to MCAS symptoms, and to even get a diagnosis and hopefully access to medication needed to manage it, I'm looking at hundreds of euros in tests, because they seem unlikely to be covered by health insurance.

If you'd like to support me and my work across to fediverse, please do:

support.thisismissem.social

(Note: ko-fi is going away because it's too hard to manage on the taxation/accounting side)

Today I'm going to be working on some PRs to fix @opencollective's OAuth implementation, and reviewing a change to @holloHollo :hollo:, and catching up on bookkeeping, and a meeting about hasher-matcher-actioner (csam/NCII detection)

✅ Embedded RRAM (eRRAM) Integration

✅ FEOL Process Integration (Gate Patterning, Etch, BDI structure, etc.)

Relocation support is provided. If you have experience in these areas and would consider a role based in South Korea, I’d be happy to share more details.
