I will be curious; if Bluesky is rolling out a AI-generated meme service there, it's very feasible it will be well received there. On the fediverse it definitely wouldn't be. I would be pretty unhappy to have my feed fill up with ai-generated memes I'm pretty sure and I suspect most of the people I follow feel the same. But maybe on Bluesky people will be happy with it; vibes around AI stuff tend to be pretty different there.

2年半 #mastodon にいて、別の人のトゥートの、オリジナルのマストドンサーバーのサイトでのリンクが貼ってあるトゥートを「いいね」とかブックマークする方法を勘違いしていた。
そのリンクをクリックしてオリジナルのサイトでのトゥートを表示させてからいいねしようとすると、「いいねするためにはアカウントが要る」という表示が出てくるので、（このサイトの #マストドン のアカウントがないから出来ないのだな）と諦めていたのだが、その「#アカウント」とは自分が使っているマストドンのサーバーのドメイン名で良かったのか。
私の場合は「social.vivaldi.net」と入れると、social.vivaldi.net でその別の人のトゥートが読めるようになって、タイムラインに出てくるトゥートと同じく「いいね」出来るようになる。

なるほど、 #ArcBrowser の開発元の #TheBrowserCompany は Dia という新しい AI ブラウザーの開発をやりたい（というかやっている）、そして #ArcBrowser は売却もしくはオープンソース化が検討されていると。
ただ、その Dia の開発にも使われている技術の一部は #Arc のコードにも含まれていて、それが #Arc のオープンソース化などの障壁になっていて、どうしたもんかなーみたいな状態、ということなのかな。
#Vivaldi を 10 年以上使っていると、何年ごしで解決されるバグとか数年前からいまも解決されていない小さなバグとかを見つけることは珍しいことではないんだけど、それでも を使い続ける理由は、Vivaldi 社が を改善しつづけてくれるだろうという信頼感を自分が持ってるからで、その信頼ってある意味いまのプロダクトの機能以上に大事なもののような気がした。
そういう観点で #TheBrowserCompany の CEO の以下の言葉を読むと

これって、内容だけをみれば「まあそういう部分もたしかにあるよね」とは思うけど、 #Arc のユーザーの立場で読むと「それは Arc を作るときからわかっていたのでは？」って感じるし、#Arc の開発をストップする理由としては、なんというか腑に落ちづらい言葉なんじゃないかな…と思った。
まあ、無料でブラウザーを提供し続けるってなかなかできることではないだろうし、 #TheBrowserCompany のビジネスとしての判断もあるのかなーと邪推する部分もあるけど、いまのところは Dia に対する期待よりも Arc の喪失感のほうが大きそう。

React만 쓰다가 solidjs를 시도 해봤는데, 홍보하고 있는 장점을 전혀 못 느끼고 있다. 물론 solidjs자체의 문제는 아닌 것 같고, 같이 쓰는 라이브러리의 문제인 것 같다. 일단 Router의 Context Provider와 Route 정의 트리의 시작이 분리가 안되어있고, 부분 경로 별로 레이아웃을 가지는 형태로 작성이 어려운 것 같다. 그리고 A 요소도 어째 동작을 안하게 되었는데 무엇이 문제인지 모르겠다. 디자인 작성이 싫어서 SUID - MUI (react material design)의 solidjs포트 - 를 썼는데 어째서인지 안쓰는 모듈까지 잔뜩 로드하느라 첫 렌더가 너무 느리다.

Normally I use #Firefox but recently I am exploring #Vivaldi, and I kind of like it
- It feels faster
- I like the work spaces
- It seems private enough (I use the #privacy add-ons which use with Firefox)
- It is #European (but not entirely open source)
Other then this, I am looking foreward to #Ladybird being ready and available
@NovleneNove I've been using #Vivaldi for the past couple of years and am pretty happy with it. I like how it's so customizable. If I find myself asking "I wonder if Vivaldi can do [thing that makes my life easier or more productive]," the answer is usually "Yes, it can."
Has anyone tried Arc Browser? I have it sitting on my desktop, but haven't really played around with it.
