Have been using France-based Qwant search engine for a couple months, but lately it's decided I'm a bot because of a static IP and use of IronFox and LibreWolf.

I’m installing a Windows 7 VM using #bhyve and GEOM Gate at the moment. This is quite impressive (not the Windows part). I don’t have a CD drive in my bhyve machine, but my laptop has. So I put that Win7 CD into my laptop, SSH-remoteforwarded GEOM gate’s default port 3080 and told bhyve that /dev/ggate0 is a CD drive. And it just works, no questions asked, no complaints, super easy. GEOM Gate seems to exist for ages, just discovered it, never heard about it before.

  Contribute to other Fediverse applications and help them to explore and improve support for Event objects. For example, @linos@graz.social has outlined a potential roadmap for Mastodon.
• Contribution to GatherPress
  Active involvement in the GatherPress project — a modern and truly FLOSS community oriented WordPress event plugin — to ensure full ActivityPub compatibility, including RSVP support and advanced federation features.
• Community engagement and outreach
  Participation in conferences, public talks, and direct conversations to foster knowledge exchange, gather feedback, and grow the ecosystem around federated events.

A few weeks back I read on Mastodon that the US Dept of Health and Human Services was getting rid of COVID tests. This is bad for all the reasons, but some enterprising government employee did a program where you could fill out a form and get anywhere from 300-3000 COVID tests (unexpired) sent to your home. I figured why not try? Last week I got seven boxes of COVID tests delivered to my porch. I posted to a local mailing list and I am getting them pointed towards my community. Thanks Mastodon!
