This is actually a concern. Mastodon should have some way of protecting itself against Meta crawlers and tracking code, assuming Meta hasn't already done all of that.

and the scariest thing is that someone with malicious intent could simply share links to my blog on Mastodon... if they have more than 1000 followers, it could take down my site instantly. I say mine but the scale of this problem is gigantic. Like, I could unintentionally DDOS' other people's websites if I share links to their blogs because of my 7000+ followers. Sigh.
