apply for passports right the fuck now if you can at all come up with the money, this is a second chance you may not get a third once this case reaches the supreme court

even if you don't intend to leave the country! a correct passport is a lifeline that effectively makes you cis in the eyes of the federal government

do not miss this chance!!!! it could save your life!

I've been sitting on this for a while, and it's not much, but in light of Wellnhofer's contribution I'd like to propose the following:

"Maintenance Terms", as distinct from licensing terms:

"consider a hypothetical early intervention program targeting elementary school children’s beliefs about math success.

Such an intervention might use engaging stories and activities that would allow children and parents to explore together different “recipes for success” in mathematics that don’t rely on brilliance."

My knee-jerk reaction to this article from @adamshostackAdam Shostack :donor: :rebelverified: was a cynical [citation needed] re “artists from all mediums emphatically support the use of AI.”

On further reflection…well, that’s still my response to the eyeball-grabbing lede, yes, but the actual article is what I wish we’d had instead of this inane hype avalanche:

Artists poking at the new thing, playing with it, finding its possibilities, critiquing it, problematizing it, asking us to ask what it is, helping us see it with fresh eyes from many angles. infosec.exchange/@adamshostack

It’s and we’re spotlighting some of our sweet seniors in need of homes! Seniors are often overlooked because of their age, but they’re as loving as their younger counterparts and can be just as playful too. We’ve got senior at all four of our shelters (in , , on , and ). Stop by during open hours to adopt and learn more about them at mspca.org/adoptacat 😺

Ash, a tan and brown tabby senior cat at the MSPCA's boston adoption center sits in a cardboard box and looks up and off to the left of the camera. she has bright green eyespudding, a senior cat at the mspca salem shelter. she's orange and striped on her top half with white on her chest and belly, as well as around her nose and neck. she's standing in the back of a metal kennel and looking at the camerapeas, a senior cat at nevins farm in methuen, hiding between a gray towel and a gray pillow. she's a black and brown tabby with white on her cheek and neck. she's looking off to the side of the cameralucky charms, a senior cat at the mspca cape cod shelter. shes a mix of light brown and black fur. her head is tilted down but shes peering up at the camera. shes laying in a metal kennel on a pink towel.

Yesterday, I met this sad young fox at the U of T campus. He'd collapsed under a shrub, panting. But he got up and wobbled his way over to a nearby pond for a drink. I stayed with him and called the city. He's now at the Toronto Wildlife Centre.

They've cared for more than 2300 critters this year, and have nearly 500 at their clinic today. They're funded mostly by donation.

Please consider injecting some positivity into the world by donating. I did.

Making a developer tool successful does not simply come down to its construction or its ergonomics.

It comes down to how committed you are to porting your mental model to your users, over and over, across whatever mediums you can rustle up, indefinitely.
