I have a question for you. Imagine an idea for a new web technology is proposed. But at least of the browser makers formally objects because of privacy concerns or other reasons. They say "No, we object to this proposal. We will never ship this. Let’s redesign it without these problems." But the other browser disagrees & ships anyway.
Should that technology be considered A Web Standard — when 1 or 2 browsers implement & ship, while 1 or 2 browsers Formally Object and say no?

I personally find that using Gemini to write blog posts, fitting my thoughts into its extremely restricted format, helps me to be a better writer. For instance, I can't use inline links, so I need to make sure links stand on their own, that I've provided enough context, and that links are fully descriptive.
That's not to say it's superior or will help anyone else, just a fun observation about brain hacks.

I wrote up a guide for how to make a personal archive of your books, copy them onto a Kobo eReader, manage them with Calibre and Calibre-Web, and even do all of that over Tailscale if you'd like.
The guide should hopefully be such that you can bail whenever you like, with each step getting you progressively closer to an easy-to-use process for supporting authors and protecting your books from fascist erasure.
