@nibushibuGENKI あ、いまBTで再度TLに流れてきて思い出したんですけれど、これ、まあローマ数字の感覚からいけばゼロがないということが前提にもあったのはもちろんなんですけれど、実際的な理由としては、機械式時計や懐中時計などが家や個人に普及するまでの経緯として、たとえば教会や街の時計塔の鐘が街に時を知らせるとか、大きなお屋敷で大きな時計が家中に鳴り渡るとか、そういう光景でおなじみの時代があったわけで、その場合もちろん鐘の回数や鳴らし方で時間を区別することになるので、「0回鳴らす」のでは知らせることができないから11時の次として12時とする必要性があった、という説明は読んだことがあります。
